O’Hara Law is a California based law firm that represents people against corporations, insurance companies, and the government through personal injury representation and criminal defense. The owner of the firm charged me with creating the best brand identity and website in the industry. He wanted the deliverables to be memorable and unique. In addition to creating the brand and website, I was also responsible for all photo/video direction and editing. He requested that the site be flexible so that we could add content as the firm evolved.
OVERVIEW
Kevin, the owner of the firm, is incredibly warm and fiercely committed to helping his clients obtain justice. I sought to communicate the power of his representation in the logo/identity. I also sought to break the mold of the traditional law firm website design. I wanted oharalawapc.com to feel human and calming for the user. I made the site easy-to-use/navigate and engaging. Together, Kevin and I created easily digestible content and proof points for visitors.

A Phoenix Rising
From the Ashes
The people who seek Kevin’s help are most likely going through one of the worst times of their lives, dealing with extreme emotional and physical pain. They are seeking justice. I created the identity to serve as a symbol of hope— they will rise from the ashes and soar to justice with O’Hara law at their side.

The Website
I designed the site with the understanding that visitors to oharalawapc.com are likely feeling overwhelmed, scared, alone, and confused with how to handle their legal situation. I wanted them to feel safe and empowered as they navigated the site. We kept the site structure simple and broke up the content so that users could find what they needed without feeling overwhelmed.
