I was brought in to lead the company through the rebranding process. And while it was a rebranding project— it was really more of a branding project in that they had never gone through a full branding exercise. They had a brand, but it was developed in pieces over the years from an industry-insider perspective: it lacked flexibility and cohesion and was inaccessible.
To start the project– I did a full brand audit then I worked with the executive team to figure out what problem SCC solves for its customers (beyond the obvious & rational). From there I figured out what the brand stood for and why customers should care about it.
Once I had answers to those foundational questions— I was able to work on the brand’s tonality, design, and language. All of which were grounded in the idea of connection and the promise of simple, fast, and fair financing for everyone.
