Street Cred Capital empowers mobile retailers to provide simple, fast, & fair financing solutions to every customer.

I was brought in to lead the company through the rebranding process. And while it was a rebranding project— it was really more of a branding project in that they had never gone through a full branding exercise. They had a brand, but it was developed in pieces over the years from an industry-insider perspective: it lacked flexibility and cohesion and was inaccessible.  

To start the project– I did a full brand audit then I worked with the executive team to figure out what problem SCC solves for its customers (beyond the obvious & rational). From there I figured out what the brand stood for and why customers should care about it. 

Once I had answers to those foundational questions— I was able to work on the brand’s tonality, design, and language. All of which were grounded in the idea of connection and the promise of simple, fast, and fair financing for everyone. 

I designed the identity to be flexible and recognizable in every format (i.e., digital favicon and thumbnail to in-store print signage). I wanted it to feel bold and inclusive. I drew the S to reflect SCC’s smooth & fluid lending process and I added the dots to create the illusion of an all-green traffic light. Green means GO!, but the dots also speak to that core idea of connection.

SCC connects retailers and consumers to their potential. 

After I finished the identity I used the brand story and strategy to build the company’s sales deck, which provided a solid framework for the website.

I redesigned the website to be clean, clear, and modern, as well as user-friendly.

The original SCC logo lacked flexibility and meaning. The logotype was clunky and unscalable.

The new logo is an expression of the brand story. It’s modern & flexible. The logomark can be separated from the logotype and still be recognizable.

With the logo as the visual foundation— I chose a high-contrast, eye-catching color palette. I drew the S in the logomark to reflect SCC’s simple & smooth financing process and I added the dots to create the illusion of an all-green traffic light. I designed the logotype to feel hip & modern as well as simple.

The Website

I redesigned the website to be clean, clear, and modern, as well as user-friendly and easy-to-navigate. I wanted anyone who landed on the site to understand what SCC does— and then be able to find whatever info they needed. I also seeded the pages with multiple, content-specific CTA’s to support SCC’s sales funnel.
